Potentiality of  the wilaya

Agricultural sector

Agriculture constitutes the principal branch of industry with surfaces agricultural of 180,184 ha covering more than 76% of the total surface area.
The surface occupied by the forests rises to 29,556 ha is 12% of the surface Total of the wilaya.
The most wooded communes are: Tamazoura, Oualed Boudjamaa, Me said, Bouzedjar and Beni Saf.
The sector of agriculture employs approximately 20.21% of labour.

Sector Industry

The wilaya of Ain Témouchent from his geographical position knows a not very important influence as investors, indeed the latter are attracted by the great urban centres such as Oran, Tlemcen and Sidi Belabbes.
 
The industrial fabric established with the level of the territory of the wilaya, account (56) manufacturers including (36) active in the nonfood production, (20) in the agro-alimentary one and a cast solid station of desalting of sea water.

In matire of tourism, our wilaya has enormous natural potentialities for a tourist development.
Each summer station, the seaside resorts, twenty (20) accommodate more than six (6) million summer tourists.
For that it is necessary to add a spa located to Bouhdjar Hammam which drains an important flow curists.
Moreover, the wilaya of Ain Témouchent counts (13) hotels.
